Board Members
Steve Swanger
President
After working in real estate investment for many years, Steve felt a call from the Lord to take what he had learned in the industry and develop it into something for His purpose. From this desire, Renewing Hope International was formed in 2016. Steve earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix and his M.B.A from Liberty University. He and his wife Elisa have 5 children. Steve enjoys playing disc golf and tennis. He is a Boy Scouts of America committee member and has the privilege to be a member of Woodland Baptist Church in Wake Forest, NC.
Jeff Scott
Vice President
Jeff lived in California for 50 years before moving to Arlington, Texas in 2013. Before retiring, Jeff was a three-time business owner, textbook author, three-time sales representative, planner and contract specialist in aerospace, as well as a history and science teacher for fifteen years. Jeff attended school and received degrees from Santa Monica College, California State University Northridge and Chapman University. Jeff has ample ministry experience as within the last 28 years he has been or still is a lay pastor, bible study teacher, small group leader, prayer team leader, director of a ministry, editor of an internet Christian magazine, an author, church elder, and a missionary. He enjoys traveling, ethnic cooking with his wife, reading, and studying the Word. Jeff is married to Anabel, and they have three adult children.
Ann Carlton
Treasurer
For the last 25 years, Ann has served various organizations with bookkeeping services. She has a deep love for the Lord and is excited to use her bookkeeping knowledge to further His purpose by working with Renewing Hope. Ann has enthusiastically served in children and youth ministry over the years. She received her Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ashworth College. She enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, health and nutrition. She has one son.
Madison Herndon
Administrative Assistant
Madison Herndon is the Administrative Assistant at Renewing Hope, where she supports global missionary efforts with a heart for service. With a background in customer service, she thrives on building relationships and ensuring the organization runs smoothly.
Having always been involved in ministry, Madison is passionate about serving the Lord and is excited to contribute to Renewing Hope’s mission.
Outside of work, Madison is a busy mom raising a toddler with another little one on the way. She loves spending time with her family, whether it's at the park or hosting dance parties at home. Madison’s faith and dedication to both family and ministry inspire her as she takes on this new chapter with Renewing Hope.
David Olaleye
Board Member
Dr. David Olaleye is a Principal Data Scientist and Research Statistical Developer at SAS Institute, Cary, NC. He was born in Lagos, Nigeria and travelled to the United States for his postgraduate training in demography, statistics and clinical epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania School of Arts and Sciences, and School of Medicine, Philadelphia. Prior to working at SAS, he worked as a Statistician in various roles for some pharmaceutical companies in the Greater Philadelphia Area. David is very passionate about missions, has led or served on several national and international mission trips, and currently volunteers as a children’s leader in one of the Bible Study Fellowship groups in the Raleigh area. In his spare time. David loves reading, especially the Bible and research articles in health care, and loves to spend time with his wife and three wonderful children
Rich Manrique
Board Member
Rich felt the Lord calling him to ministry when he was in high school. He began in ministry as a youth pastor and has also served as a worship and associate pastor. He is currently the Senior Pastor of Family Bible Church in Fairfield, CA. Rich graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Theology from The Cornerstone Seminary and Bible College in Vallejo, CA. In addition to his work at Family Bible Church, Rich speaks at local marriage conferences, men’s groups, school chapels, and school camp retreats. He also teaches at The Cornerstone Seminary and Bible College. Rich is married to his wife Emily and they have three children. He enjoys camping with his family, studying history, and singing and playing guitar.
Daryl Green
Board Member
Daryl was born and raised in Southern California where he accepted the Lord into his life at the age of nine. He now resides in Arlington, Texas where he attends The Church on Rush Creek and has been for the last 40+ years. Daryl and his beautiful wife, Leonor have 11 beautiful grandchildren. He enjoys football, golf, fishing and, most of all, hunting.
